Job Opening: Cable Equipment Senior Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Cable Equipment Senior Manager to join our technical team in Jakarta. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and operational readiness of cable-laying and cable-handling equipment, while leading a multidisciplinary technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the readiness, reliability, and operational availability of cable-laying and cable-handling equipment.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities for cable vessel equipment.
- Supervise equipment operation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and repair.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause/failure analysis, and equipment improvement initiatives.
- Manage critical spare parts, equipment inventory, and equipment lifecycle planning.
- Ensure equipment complies with applicable HSE, class, regulatory, and manufacturer/OEM requirements.
- Lead and supervise the equipment/technical team.
- Coordinate closely with vessel, marine, offshore, and project teams.
- Manage equipment-related OPEX/CAPEX budgets, cost control, and resource planning.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers, OEMs, contractors, and other technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Mechatronics, or related Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in submarine cable, subsea, offshore, marine, or oil & gas operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial position, leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Hands-on experience in submarine cable laying, installation, repair, or maintenance is preferred.
- Good understanding of the submarine cable installation lifecycle and operations.
- Experience with the following equipment/operations will be highly advantageous:
- LCE / Cable Engine
- Cable Tensioner
- Cable Plough
- ROV / LARS / TMS
- Cable handling equipment
- Cable jointing equipment
- Cable repair/restoration equipment
- Experience in budgeting, OPEX/CAPEX planning, cost control, resource planning, and vendor/OEM management.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to work closely with vessel and offshore project teams as required.
