The role combines commercial management with hands-on operational involvement, including attendance at offshore locations and project sites to ensure effective cost, manpower, logistics and operational management.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project costing, budgeting, pricing, cost control and profitability.
  • Oversee project execution, including offshore salvage operations and on-site coordination.
  • Plan and manage manpower, vessel chartering, equipment, contractors and project logistics.
  • Coordinate mobilisation, transportation, accommodation and other operational requirements.
  • Prepare and manage tenders, RFQs, commercial proposals, contracts and negotiations.
  • Monitor project progress, expenditure and resource utilisation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, shipowners, subcontractors, suppliers and internal technical and operations teams.
  • Identify commercial risks, manage variations and claims, and ensure alignment between project scope, budget and operational requirements.
  • Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Typically 7–10 years of relevant experience in marine salvage, offshore, marine projects or related industries.
  • Strong experience in commercial management, project costing, budgeting and cost control.
  • Good understanding of offshore operations, vessel chartering, manpower planning and logistics coordination.
  • Experience in tendering, contract negotiation and subcontractor management.
  • Willingness to travel and attend offshore operations, vessels and project sites as required.
  • Strong commercial awareness, leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and respond to urgent, time-critical project requirements.

Working Arrangement

  • 5-day work week, primarily office-based between projects.
  • Regular offshore and project site attendance as operational requirements dictate.
  • Flexible working hours may be required during active salvage operations, mobilisation and emergency response.
