Junior Marine Superintendent (HSEQ) | Singapore
Are you a Deck Officer holding a Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 1 and looking to transition into a shore-based career?
We are seeking a Marine Superintendent (HSEQ) to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operations of our fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have recently come ashore or possess up to 1–2 years of relevant shore-based experience.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Company’s Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Management System.
  • Monitor vessel compliance with applicable international regulations, flag state, classification society, port state, and company requirements.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, audits, incident investigations, and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide operational HSEQ support to vessels, including risk assessments, safety initiatives, and guidance to onboard personnel.
  • Review safety reports, near misses, observations, and performance trends to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with vessel crews, management, charterers, flag administrations, classification societies, customers, and external auditors on HSEQ-related matters.
  • Assist in preparing vessels for internal and external audits, inspections, and vetting activities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deck Officer holding a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 1
  • Fresh from sea or up to 2 years of relevant shore-based experience
  • Strong interest in Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)
  • Good understanding of international maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices, including SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, ISPS Code, IGF Code, SIRE, CDI, and SIGTTO guidelines, where applicable
  • Positive attitude with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation

What You’ll Receive

  • Starting salary: SGD 7,000/month
  • 3-month probation
  • Salary increase to SGD 7,300/month upon successful confirmation
