Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules for luxury yacht new build projects.
- Prepare detailed work programmes covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, outfitting, commissioning, and final delivery phases.
- Coordinate planning activities with project teams to ensure work packages are properly sequenced and aligned with project priorities.
- Monitor project performance against approved schedules and identify any deviations that could impact delivery milestones.
- Perform schedule analysis to identify critical path activities, resource constraints, and potential project risks.
- Recommend recovery strategies and revised work plans to minimise delays and maintain project targets.
- Liaise with production, engineering, procurement, logistics, and subcontractors to ensure manpower, materials, and equipment are available as planned.
- Generate regular planning reports, progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and project dashboards for management review.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and provide scheduling insights to support project execution and decision-making.
- Ensure planning records, project schedules, and supporting documentation remain accurate and up to date throughout the project.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance planning processes, reporting methods, and project controls.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or another relevant engineering discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls within the marine, shipbuilding, offshore, or heavy engineering industries.
- Experience supporting vessel construction, refit, repair, conversion, or other complex engineering projects is preferred.
- Proficient in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning applications.
- Sound knowledge of project scheduling techniques, construction sequencing, resource planning, and production workflows.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret project data, identify scheduling risks, and recommend practical solutions.
