Job Description

We are looking for 2 Mechanical Technicians to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems used in container terminal operations in Gdynia, Poland.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on container cranes and heavy industrial equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to ensure reliable and safe equipment operation.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, gearbox, brake, bearing, and lubrication systems.
  • Carry out inspections, repairs, adjustments, and component replacements as required.
  • Support breakdown maintenance and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with electrical, automation, and operations teams to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and maintenance standards.

Requirements

  • Technical qualification or relevant training in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, brakes, bearings, and lubrication systems.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with container cranes such as STS, RTG, or RMG is highly desirable.
  • Experience with other industrial cranes, heavy machinery, or material handling equipment will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in ports, container terminals, steel plants, mining, or other heavy industrial environments is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of industrial safety procedures and willingness to work in a terminal/shift environment when required.
